These brushes are individually turned on a lathe and shaped by hand in the New Forest in high quality alternative ivory. The brush has good backbone and soft tips. It has a 20mm knot with a loft of 48mm and a handle height of 45mm and 31mm diameter.

  2. It would depend on the knot size and loft. The 2001 two band should have a firmer backbone compared with Best Badger hair.

  3. Would I notice much of a difference between a 20mm and 22mm knot? I prefer the handle on the 2001 to the one on the 2204 I think

  4. The 22mm knot is a little big bigger but the 48mm loft on the 2001 gives very good face coverage. The handle is smaller as you can see from the measurements so just be aware of that too.
